The purpose of e-mail is to facilitate simple communication. Appropriate uses of email communication might include: Lab & Test results within normal ranges, Appointment & Referral confirmation and dates; Routine follow-up inquiries, and patient reports of home health measurements, such as blood pressure and glucose determinations.
- DO NOT USE E-MAIL FOR URGENT MATTERS. If this is a medical emergency call 911 immediately, do not send an email. Urgent problems need to be dealt with in person, by phone, or in the emergency room.
- Emails will be checked at least once a day. We strive for a 48 hour turn-around on email.
- E-MAIL IS NOT CONFIDENTIAL
- All messages will become part of the permanent medical record.
- Please don't send Attachments with your emails-- they clog up the machinery somehow...
